Yes, I love the word ZEAL. I live the word ZEAL—or, at least, I aim to.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, let me share my definition of ZEAL, in case you aren’t familiar with the word or my own interpretation of it.
ZEAL: a passionate and persistent pursuit of a purpose
What Does Zeal Mean Biblically?
In Romans 12:11 (NET), the Apostle Paul gives us this advice: “Do not lag in zeal, be enthusiastic in spirit, serve the Lord.”
The first part of that verse compels us to live with ZEAL. The second part tells us how to do it:
- “be enthusiastic in spirit”
- “serve the Lord”
