About the Girl

Hey, y’all!

I’m Jayme, the girl behind the adventures. If you’re looking for travel inspiration, encouragement in your faith and living with zeal, you’re in the right place!

Or, if you found my blog through my post on self-publishing or starting a podcast for free, I hope you keep reading.

When I started this blog in 2017, I was single and didn’t let that stop me from adventuring and traveling solo all over the world. Many of my earlier posts are about that solo life, so if you’re a current solo traveler, I hope those past posts inspire you.

I also encourage all y’all to check out my very first blog post for a more in-depth look at why I live a life of adventure. Then read Part II if you want an even clearer picture of my perspective on life and my relationship with God. *Spoiler alert* It involves my ten year battle with bulimia and how I recovered — and learned how to live again.

In 2020, I met my now husband, John, who also loves to travel, hike, and embrace the adventure of everyday life. Together, we travel quite a bit and also enjoy motorcycling in the nearby Smoky Mountains.

Home is Knoxville, Tennessee, where I’ve fully embraced my inner mountain girl — after growing up in Michigan and living in Florida for five years.

So this is me, a Tennessee girl (+ her guy & our Old English Bulldog) with a passion for everyday and far away adventures — trusting God through it all. And I’m happy you’re here!
